Rates & Policies
I offer online LSAT lessons through FaceTime, Google Meets, or Skype... Student preference and lesson objective are the primary determinants of which free-to-use platform will work best for online lessons in any given situation. When a prospective student isn't near me geographically, online lessons are the only option, of course. I offer in person lessons at a significantly higher rate because 1) travel is costly and 2) in person instruction allows for a more tangible learning experience and is thus typically in higher demand - when feasible.
Free Consultation
*Included with every package
A free 20-minute consultation with Shane is available for any prospective student, no matter what lesson format they are interested in. This meeting allows the prospective student to determine if our programs are the right fit for them. Consultations are exclussively offered Online through FaceTime, Google Meets, or Skype.
Standard Rates
For 1-on-1, Online lessons cost $180/hr and In person lessons cost $225/hr. For group sessons, Online lessons cost $50/hr, with no In person option. In person rates are assuming that the lesson location is no more than a 20-minute drive from my apartment. In-person lessons set at locations that require more driving will be charged at a higher rate.
Payment Options
Payment using cash or check is permitted for in person lessons and only for in person lessons. Payment for online lessons must be made using one of the following payment options: Zelle (sends money directly into a bank account), Venmo (sends money through a virtual wallet), Bitcoin (the leading cryptocurrency in the world).
Cancellation Policy
Two (2) actions qualify as lesson cancellations. Action 1: A student (or individual representing the student) cancels a scheduled lesson 2 to 24 hours before that scheduled lesson's start time. Action 2: A student (or individual representing the student) cancels a lesson 2 or fewer hours before the start time, after the start time, or fails show up in the first 15 minutes of the lesson time window (without prior communication). The consequence for a cancellation via Action 1 would be a fee equal to 50% of the anticipated cost of the scheduled lesson, while the consequence for a cancellation via Action 2 would be a fee equal to 100% of the anticipated cost.
